We do not exist for ourselves. We are missionaries in our world, our community. We are called to live as salt and light in our homes, our workplaces, and in our community. We are doctors, waitresses, factory workers, school teachers, nurses, beauticians, businessmen, trainers, secretaries, counselors, and more. Our calling is to live our faith in every area of life.

We also serve in particular ways in our community:

O.P.T. Dinners

The dinners are held on the first and third Thursdays of every month at First Baptist. http://www.teamworkql.org

TEAMwork for Quality Living is a grassroots nonprofit organization that brings together and supports Delaware County volunteers as they work to build a stronger community.

Friendship Class

LDM, a nonprofit disability ministry, is providing an Inter-denominational Friendship Bible Study for adults who have a developmental disability and live in Muncie or the surrounding areas. Volunteers of all ages are invited to come and experience this new Friendship class! The Friendship Class meets on Tuesday evenings at Riverside Baptist Church from 7:00-8:30 pm. Muncie Mission

We connect with the Muncie Mission on many levels. Muncie Mission Ministries is a faith-based, not-for-profit agency that has brought hope to the poor, needy and homeless in East Central Indiana for over 75 years. Our primary services are provided in a Christ-centered environment designed to provide basic needs and teach life skills, while guiding our residents through various problems that have brought them to our doorstep. Our recovery program is centered on spiritual healing and enrichment. If you are interested in serving at the Muncie Mission, contact us.

Weddings

Lots of people want to get married at First Baptist. The beautiful Gothic church is perfect for weddings. The church is available to the public for weddings. If you have questions about using the facility or would like to schedule a tour of the building, contact us.
