Not only do we empower people, but we also care for people. There are some among us who are confined to their homes or nursing homes. Others are in the hospital. As community, we visit and pray with those of us who are suffering.
We also exist to comfort families during times of loss. The church hosts funerals and funeral dinners for families who have lost loved ones.
If you are interesting in visiting those who are homebound and/or in the hospital. Contact Robert for a list of names. There are several teams that take communion to the homebound every month. If you are interested in serving on one of these teams, contact Wade for more information.
We take seriously the model of the early church.
All the believers were together and had everything in common. 45) Selling their possessions and goods, they gave to anyone as he had need. (Acts 2:44–45 NIV)
If you have more than you need and would like to contribute to the Fellowship Fund, you can drop your donation in the offering plate (labeling it “Fellowship Fund” or placing it in the pink envelope). If you are in need, please contact the deacons.
If you enjoy cooking and would like to contribute when a family is in need of a funeral meal, please contact the deacons.
