Sexual Brokenness

Philip

In Acts 8, Luke relates the experience of Philip. Philip, being dispersed by the stoning of Stephen, travels to Samaria. He then follows an angel’s leading toward the Gaza highway. In both experiences, he finds the Spirit already at work. He simply obeys the promptings of the Spirit, bringing the gospel to unlikely people. Wade walks us through the story of Philip as we continue our study in the book of Acts. Acts 8

Mission Trip Sharing

On Sunday, June 13th, groups from The Oasis (The Baptist House) and First Baptist shared about their experience doing missions over Spring Break. The Oasis group traveled to Asheville, North Carolina and the young adult group from First Baptist traveled to New Orleans, Louisiana.

Stephen

Luke tells four foundational stories beginning in the sixth chapter of Acts. The first story is of Stephen. While this story may seem tragic, God uses his martyrdom to spread the gospel beyond the borders of Israel. Wade describes the scene of Stephen before the religious leaders and considers his courage and strength. Filled by the power of the Spirit, Stephen proclaims the message of Jesus. Acts 6-7.
