The Oasis along with volunteers from First Baptist hosted a dinner for the BSU women’s soccer team on August 12th as they competed in their preseason schedule. The dinner was at Riverside Baptist on the evening of Thursday, August 12th.
The First Baptist family hosted the OPT (Overcoming Poverty Together) dinner on Thursday, July 15th from 6-8 PM. We provided a cookout meal for roughly 60-70 participants and took part in the program that will followed. This is a great program that empowers people to break the cycle of poverty and become independent.
On May 1st, a group from First Baptist gathered to help one of its own families replace their roof. This is an example of what it means to live in fellowship (koinōnia). They devoted themselves to the apostles’ teaching and to the fellowship, to the breaking of bread and to prayer. (Acts 2:42 NIV)
First Baptist Pastors, Harm Weber (1959) and Wade Allen (2008), both came to Muncie at age 35, with three children (1 girl and 2 boys), and from a Central Baptist Church.
