This spring is full of special events. We will be having four combined worship experiences and a couple of special guests.

Our first special guest is the Judson University Choir. It is a privilege to have a world class choir to lead our worship on Sunday, March 14th (11:15a). The students will be sharing God’s working in their lives as well as their music. It will be a special time of testimony, music, and celebration of what is doing in the lives of students. First Baptist has a unique role in the founding of Judson University. We celebrate our continued connection with them on this special Sunday.

Our second special guest will be Candi Pearson-Shelton. Candi and her husband (Jonathan) will be with us Sunday, March 28th (11:15a). We will again be meeting together in one combined service. Candi will share her story of God’s being glorified in the death of her brother (my friend), Rick. As we begin Holy Week, her story will help us consider God’s glorification in the most unlikely circumstances. If you would like to read more about Candi and her story, visit the church Web site.

Our third combined worship experience this spring will be a Maundy Thursday service (6p) on April 1st. This will be a reflective hour considering Jesus’ great love for us. We will celebrate communion together in this hour.

Finally, we will meet together on Easter Sunday (11:15a) to celebrate the risen Christ! We will celebrate with an Easter brunch at 10a followed by worship. Look for RSVP forms for the brunch in upcoming bulletins.

As the snow melts (hopefully), we have much to anticipate together. — Wade
