Throughout our series on 1 Peter, we have discussed the changing dynamics of our world. We are finding ourselves in a very different place as a church these days. Church no longer finds itself in a privileged place in our social order. Before we get too stressed out about this dynamic, we must remember life in the first century. Christians were greatly misunderstood and even persecuted. This is the context in which Peter pens his first letter.
